Custom Slide-In Door / Wall Tags

A simple and customizable slide-in tag system for doors, walls, offices, rooms, workshops, storage areas, desks, or anywhere you need a clean sign.

The model consists of two parts:

1. Back plate / holder
   Mount this part to a wall, door, cabinet, or other surface.
2. Slide-in text plate
   Add your custom text and simply slide the plate into the holder.

This makes it easy to change the sign later without removing the mounted holder.

Preparation

Before mounting the back plate to the wall, it is a good idea to first try sliding in the text plate. It is by design a bit narrow, so you might want to scrape of a tiny bit of the plate before it works. This is to avoid the plate to be easily removed!

Mounting

The back plate can be attached in two ways:

• With duct tape
• With screws using the 5 mm screw holes

First mount the back plate, then slide in the finished text plate.

First add the plate. Here duct tape is used. The large model uses the full width of the duct tape (50 mm) and the small model uses half-wide (25 mm).

Slide in the text plate from the open end.

I managed NOT to slide in the last 1 mm! Sloppy job my side ;-) it was just a matter of pushing it a bit further!

Sizes included

The tags come in two sizes:

• Large: 206 × 61 mm
• Small: 103 × 30.5 mm

Custom text

The text is fully customizable, so you can create signs such as:

• PRIVATE
• OFFICE
• MEETING ROOM
• STORAGE
• TOILET
• STAFF ONLY
• Any custom name or label

Printing

The model is designed for easy printing and works well with color changes for the text.

Suggested setup:

• Print the holder/back plate in black
• Print the text plate in your preferred background color
• Use a color change for the text

No supports should be needed for normal printing.

Notes

For best results, make sure the mounted holder is level before attaching it to the wall or door. The slide-in design allows the text plate to be removed and replaced whenever needed.
