Description

Greenhouse Twist-Lock Loop & Hook (7x10mm Profile)

This is a functional, two-part mounting system designed for aluminum greenhouse profiles. It consists of a Loop and a Hook that twist securely into the frame's channels.

The model is inspired by the work of DGs 3D-PRINT, but adapted to fit specific profile dimensions and offer a versatile two-piece design.

Features

  • Modular Design: Prints in two separate parts. You can use them together or just print the single part you need (Loop or Hook).

Print Settings & Recommendations

Since this part will live in a greenhouse, material choice is key to withstand heat and UV radiation.

  • Material: Highly recommend ASA-GF (Glass Fiber reinforced) or standard ASA/PETG. I printed mine in ASA-GF for maximum stiffness and weather resistance. Avoid PLA as it will soften and deform in summer greenhouse temperatures.
  • Orientation: Print flat on the bed for the strongest layer adhesion along the stress points.
  • Walls/Infill: Use at least 3–4 walls and a high infill ($30\text{\%}+$ or solid) to ensure the twist-lock mechanism handles loads well.
