Minimalist RPG Terrain: Adaptable Grid System

"The only limit is your imagination."

This is a minimalist modular system designed to fill your battle maps. These pieces are perfectly scaled for 25x25mm grids (standard 1-inch squares), making them an essential tool for any Dungeon Master. I created this set because hyper-realistic terrain can sometimes be "too specific," breaking immersion when it doesn’t match the DM's words. With this clean, essential design, the focus remains on the story and the players’ imagination takes center stage!

What's Included in the Files:

• Standard Cone Block (Single color)
• Bicolor Cone Block (AMS Ready / Layer-change ready)
• The Base Plate (For heavy/tall structures)

• The Top Plate (For bridges, towers, and flat elevations)

   

Stacking System:

The pieces are designed with a frustum shape (like a small cup), which allows for incredible versatility in building. You can combine them just like building blocks:

• Vertical Stacks: Place them directly on top of each other to create pillars, high markers, or trees.
• Offset Stacking: You can stack them in a staggered formation (like "cup stacking" games), placing one piece over the gap between two others. This is perfect for building stable walls, ruins, or complex structures.

Bicolor Version:

One of the features of this set is the special bicolor version. This piece has a different color printed on the inside bottom (the interior base of the "cup").

Since the color is hidden while the piece is sitting on the table, it’s perfect for secret mechanics:

• Hidden Loot or Traps: Tell your players, "The treasure is in one of these barrels, but some are filled with poison!" The players will only discover what's inside when they interact with the object and flip it over to reveal the hidden color.
• If you don't have the AMS, you can mark the inside bottom with a permanent marker.

Print Settings

• Material: PLA
• Layer Height: 0.20mm Standard (0.20mm first layer).
• Walls & Shells: 5 top layers / 5 bottom layers (keeps the surfaces perfectly solid).
• Supports:
  • Cones & Top Plates: No supports needed.
  • Base Plate: Needs Tree (Auto) supports.
• AMS: Needed only for the Bicolor Version. Standard pieces can be printed normally without AMS.
