US Navy SeeBee Combat Warfare Specialist Badge

This model is a replica of the U.S. Navy Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist Insignia. Earning this badge requires rigorous training and deep knowledge of naval construction and combat operations, making it a highly respected emblem within the armed forces.  The design prominently features the iconic "fighting bee"—originally designed in 1942—holding a machine gun and tools, superimposed over crossed swords, an anchor, and the oak leaves of the Civil Engineer Corps. This model serves as an excellent display piece for shadow boxes, retirement gifts, or military memorabilia collections.

Key Features:

• Wall-Mountable by Default: Designed with a negative volume modifier in the slicer to provide a built-in hanging hole on the back. If you prefer a completely flat back for a desk display or shadow box, simply delete the negative object before slicing.  The tabs are extremely lightweight and can be attached via double sided tape, glue, etc.
• Fully Scalable: Easily scale these up for bold wall art or scale them down for tasteful desk displays or even a small keychain variant. (Note: If you keep the hanging holes, they will scale proportionally with the model).

Optimized Print Settings:

The included print profiles have been dialed in to minimize layer lines and maximize aesthetic quality. For the best results, use the following parameters:

• Nozzle Size: 0.4mm for the default scale. (If scaling down significantly, switching to a 0.2mm nozzle is highly recommended to preserve the letter structure).
• Layer Height: 0.20mm is the default in the profile, but for more detail, use 0.16mm or even 0.12mm.  This will provide more detail in all the curves in the geometry of this model.  
• Infill: 10% Gyroid provides the perfect balance of lightweight structure and durability.
• Orientation: Print flat on its back to ensure optimal bed adhesion and a pristine top-surface finish.
• Material Recommendation: PLA Matte or PLA Basic/Plus (such as Bambu/Sunlu/Elegoo) works exceptionally well for these plaques. The matte/plus finish prevents glare and gives the military colors a premium, authentic look.
