Description

Hey everyone! I designed this beer coaster to solve a classic problem: the dreaded "coaster stick."

When a cold glass sweats, the condensation usually creates a suction effect, causing the coaster to stick to the bottom of the glass and then drop onto the table. This model features an integrated anti-condensation surface geometry. It keeps the bottom of the glass slightly elevated, allowing airflow and completely breaking the surface tension.

Core Features:

  • Anti-Condensation Geometry: Prevents the coaster from sticking to wet glasses or sweating bottles.
  • Table Protection: A raised outer lip catches any condensation run-off before it reaches your desk or table.
  • Fast & Clean Printing: Designed to print flat with zero supports. The top surface looks great with classic rectilinear or concentric top-surface patterns.

Recommended Print Settings:

  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm
  • Wall Generator: Arachne (for cleaner surface details)
  • Material: PLA works great for cold drinks. If you plan to use it for hot coffee mugs as well, PETG or ABS/ASA is recommended for better temperature resistance.
  • Infill: 15% Gyroid
  • Top Surface Pattern: Try setting your top surface pattern to "Concentric" or "Octagram Spiral" in the slicer for a really premium look.

Let me know how it prints for you, and feel free to share your makes!
