Description
A tiny desk gadget that shows how much of your Claude subscription you have left, right on your desk, without opening a browser.
It runs on an ESP32-C3 Mini with an SH1106 128x64 OLED and reads your usage directly from the Anthropic API response headers - the same numbers you see on the claude.ai usage page.
What it displays
- Current session usage (rolling 5-hour window) with countdown to reset
- Weekly usage across all models with reset timer
- Weekly Sonnet usage
- Weekly Opus usage
Updates every minute automatically.
Two bracket versions included:
- Seeed Studio style ESP32-C3 (~21mm board height)
- Waveshare style ESP32-C3 (~23.5mm board height)
Check your board before printing. If your board does not fit either version, drop a comment and I will look into it.
What you need
- ESP32-C3 Mini (Seeed Studio or Waveshare variant)
- SH1106 OLED 128x64 I2C (note: SH1106, not SSD1306 — they look identical but need different drivers)
- 4 jumper wires
- 3x M2 x 5 self-tapping screws
- USB-C cable
- Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise subscription
Assembly
Place the SH1106 OLED into the front slot of the body and route the 4 wires into the enclosure.

Insert bracket into the body and secure with M2.6 x 8 screws (optional, since the bracket is friction fit).

Connect the wires to the ESP32-C3 (GND, 3.3V, SDA to GPIO4, SCL to GPIO5) and tuck the cables neatly inside (do was I say, not as I do :D). Slide the ESP32-C3 between the body and bracket.

Close the back panel and secure with 3x M2 x 5 self-tapping screws

Software
All setup steps, wiring details, and firmware instructions are in the README on GitHub: https://github.com/rafbanaan/clauled
Vibe coded as any Clauder would do, but reviewed and cleaned up to best practices. ESP32 programming is still new territory for me, so improvements are always welcome.
Comments, tweaks, and ideas are always welcome.
