Description

I wanted a case for my iPod Nano 2nd gen after it got scratched in my pocket, but I struggled to find one online, and the only 3d model I could find was for TPU and was 50 grams of filament, So I made this one! It comes in at 11 grams and around 1 hr total print time in PLA, because it is made to be light and scratch protective.
I am planning to add more print profiles in the future for non clickwheel and non screen protector version btw.

I went with PLA Marble, blue and a clear PLA by Elegoo  that I got at Jay Car for colors, but you can choose any colors you want, and use clear PETG for the screen protector or click wheel cover.

ASSEMBLY

The case prints in four pieces-

  • Main case
  • top seal
  • screen protector
  • clickwheel cover

First, insert the clickwheel in through the top opening, and make sure it is the right way around (icons facing outwards, not into the case or the lip facing outwards)

Then, do the same for the screen protector with the lip still facing outwards

Thirdly, slide your iPod in through the top, and finally insert the top seal with the cutout for the hold switch the correct way.

DONE
