Description

⚔️ Anjin (John Blackthorne)

Bring one of the most iconic characters from James Clavell's Shōgun to your collection with this detailed 3D printable figurine.

The model captures Anjin (John Blackthorne) wearing traditional Japanese clothing, holding his katana in his right hand and a traditional 17th-century European matchlock musket in his left hand, reflecting his unique journey as an English navigator who embraced the ways of feudal Japan. This makes it a great display piece for fans of the novel, Japanese history, or samurai-inspired collections.

🆕 New Version Available

A new version of this model has been added, featuring a larger scale and improved detail. This updated edition stands approximately 160 mm (16 cm) tall, allowing for sharper details, a stronger overall structure, and an even better display presence while remaining easy to print.

🖨️ Print Settings

📐 Layer Height: 0.20 mm
🧱 Infill: 15%
🌳 Supports: Tree Supports Enabled
🎨 Material: PLA

⚠️ Notes:

  • Tree supports are required for a successful print.
  • Remove the supports carefully, especially around the sword, musket, sleeves, and hands.
  • For a stronger model, increasing the infill to 20–30% is recommended.

💡 Personal Experience

I printed this model with 15% infill, and the print completed successfully. However, while removing the tree supports, I accidentally broke the musket in the left hand because it is a delicate part.

For better durability and easier post-processing, I recommend increasing the infill to 20–30%, especially if you plan to handle the model frequently.

If you print this model, I'd love to see your results. Feel free to upload a photo and leave a rating—it really helps support future models in the Shogun Inspired Book Figurines collection.
