Shelf Pin Repair Bridge

One of the most common problems with bookshelves, cabinets and other furniture is that shelf pin holes become worn, enlarged or damaged over time. This can cause shelves to become unstable or loose.

This Shelf Pin Repair Bridge is designed to solve that problem by distributing the load across two consecutive shelf pin holes instead of only one.

Repair damaged shelf pin holes

If one shelf hole has become loose or oversized, this bridge allows the damaged hole to act mainly as a guide while the second, undamaged hole provides secure support.

It offers a simple solution for repairing damaged shelf pin holes, worn shelf holes, loose shelf supports and enlarged shelf holes without modifying the furniture.

Even if your furniture is still in good condition, this bridge helps prevent future damage.

Because the load is shared between two shelf holes instead of one, the stress on each hole is greatly reduced, helping to extend the life of the furniture.

Perfect for:

Many cabinets that use standard 5 mm shelf pins and recessed shelves, including furniture similar to IKEA BILLY.

• This version is designed for shelves with a recessed (grooved) underside, where a standard wider repair bracket would not fit.
• If your shelf has a completely flat underside, a wider version is recommended for maximum stability.

Compatibility:
Pin diameter: 4.9mm (slightly undersized from standard 5mm for easy insertion into worn holes)
Hole spacing: 32mm on-center (standard European shelf pin spacing)

Not compatible with other hole diameters or spacing without scaling.

Note: This design requires two consecutive rows of shelf pin holes.
