        People are very curious about the form of UFOs, whether they are round or square, emit light or not, or are like the imagined saucer shape. A researcher and planetary astronomer from the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Nanjing stated that some may be saucer-shaped and can emit light. In the process of studying UFOs, according to their shapes, over 100 typical UFO incidents have been divided into more than 10 types, with a focus on analyzing UFO events observed simultaneously in two or more different locations. Among these dozens of UFO types, 5 categories can be explained by known natural or man-made phenomena. These include fireball-like, light spot-like, bright star cluster-like, flying rod-like, and flying stick-like. Sometimes natural phenomena such as optical reactions can create illusions, and man-made aircraft, including planes, rockets, balloons, and kites, can also cause misunderstandings. Additionally, meteor falls can leave fireball trails in the sky. However, 7 types of UFOs are currently difficult to explain with known natural or man-made phenomena. These include spiral-shaped, fan-shaped, light mass-shaped, ball lightning, spherical shell-shaped, hovering spindle-shaped, V-shaped, aerial strange vehicles, and saucer-shaped. Among these, spiral-shaped, fan-shaped, light mass-shaped, and saucer-shaped UFOs may be related to extraterrestrial spacecraft.
