EcoFlow Wave 2 Wall Vent Adapter / Wall Penetration

The EcoFlow Wave 2 is a fantastic mobile air conditioner, but hanging the exhaust hoses loosely from a gap in the window is often impractical and inefficient. With this customized wall connection set, you create a clean, permanent, and professional solution – perfect for garden sheds, workshops, campers, or tiny houses!

The system ensures perfect air exchange through the wall and replaces provisional solutions with a robust, screw-fastened design that looks great both indoors and out.

✨ Design Highlights

  • Custom Fit: Precisely matched to the exhaust and intake hoses of the EcoFlow Wave 2. The hoses fit firmly and securely.
  • Two-Part System: The design includes the inner mounting ring for the hoses and a stylish louvered cover for the outer wall.
  • Integrated Weather Protection: The downward-angled slats of the outer cover reliably prevent rainwater, leaves, or dirt from entering the room.
  • Secure Hold: Thanks to the integrated screw holes, the system can be securely anchored in wood or housing walls.

🖨️ Print Recommendations

Important Note on Heat: The exhaust air from the air conditioner gets very hot during operation. PLA is unsuitable for this project as it would quickly deform.

  • Material: ABS is the absolute top choice for this model. It is extremely heat-resistant, UV-resistant (for the exterior), and very robust. With a closed build chamber, it can be printed without warping. Alternatively, PETG also works excellently.
  • Layer Height: 0.20 mm offers the best balance between stability and a clean look for the slats.
  • Wall Lines (Wall Loops): Use at least 4 to 5 wall lines. This gives the adapter ring the necessary strength when the thick hoses are moved and prevents the screw holes from tearing out.
  • Infill: 15–20% (Gyroid) is optimal.
  • Tip for Perfect Overhangs: Especially for the slats of the outer cover and the connections, dry filament is crucial. Printed fresh from the filament dryer, the overhangs and edges will be absolutely clean, which greatly facilitates the later assembly of the hoses.

🔧 Accessories & Assembly

You will need:

  • Wood or sheet metal screws (depending on wall material)
  • I personally melted in M-screw threads, but it's not a must.
  • Optional: Some silicone or sealing tape to completely weather-seal the outer cover against the wall.

Assembly is straightforward:

  1. Saw circular cutouts in the wall at the desired location (e.g., with a hole saw or jigsaw).
  2. Insert the outer louvered cover into the opening from the outside and screw it in place.
  3. Align the inner adapter ring from the inside and screw it firmly in place as well.
  4. Insert the thick EcoFlow hoses into the ring. A/C on, heat out!
