Modular wooden basket made from 3D printing & wooden slats

This modular wooden basket combines the natural look of wood with the flexibility of 3D printing. All plastic parts can be easily produced on a standard FDM 3D printer. Afterwards, only wooden slats are inserted – entirely without screws, glue, or special tools.

Thanks to the intelligent plug-in system, a stable and high-quality storage basket is created within minutes. The design is ideal for the workshop, living room, kitchen, bathroom, or office and can be individually adapted to the desired size.

Required Materials

* All printed STL files
* Wooden slats of appropriate length
* Optional sandpaper or wood oil for finishing

Assembly

1. Build the base by first fully inserting the longest wooden slats into a base frame. Then attach the second base frame on the opposite side.
   

2. Attach the four corner connectors to the base frames.
 

3. Assemble the two short sides separately. To do this, first insert the short wooden slats into one side rail and then attach the second side rail.

4. Now connect the front and back sides with the side boards. (First, the boards are assembled on one side, then on the other!)

Finally, insert the long side boards one after another into the guides.

5. Then attach the basket to the base – the basket is now fully assembled.

Note!!

I never printed the files for the boards because I used real oak wood with 5x20 mm for my box, which I cut to the respective lengths and assembled.
