Cessna 172 Tailwheel –FrameFree Kit Card | 5 Sizes

A clean and filament-efficient version of the Cessna 172 Tailwheel Kit Card, prepared for easy printing and assembly.

The original surrounding kit-card frame has been removed because it is not required for assembling the aircraft and only uses additional filament. Every component is arranged as a separate printable part, making the model cleaner, faster and more economical to print.

The project contains 5 different sizes, measured approximately by the length of the main wing:

• 239 mm
• 179 mm
• 134 mm
• 101 mm
• 76 mm

Choose the size that best fits your printer and desired display model. The largest version is prepared for a full-size Bambu Lab A1 build plate, while the smaller versions are suitable for compact printers such as the A1 mini.

Recommended print settings

• Material: PETG recommended
• Color: Your choice
• Layer height: 0.20 mm
• Wall loops: 3
• Infill: 10%
• Infill pattern: Gyroid
• No AMS required
• Print all parts flat on the build plate
• Supports are generally not required

PETG is recommended because the smaller connecting parts benefit from additional flexibility and resistance to breaking during assembly.

After printing, carefully remove the individual components and assemble the aircraft using the reference photos. For the smallest versions, handle the propeller, landing gear and wing supports gently.
