Folding Print-in-Place Stand with hinges - ZERO OS
Print Profile(1)

Description
A Single-Print, Folding Stand for Your Desk or Travel Setup
The ZERO Stand is a clean, minimalist device cradle that prints completely flat in one piece and folds together along built-in hinges. No glue, no screws, and absolutely no supports required.
Tucked neatly behind the main support arm is a hidden rear pocket—perfect for stashing a spare 18650 cell, a USB-C cable, or other small EDC items.
This design was born directly out of our community! A massive shoutout to @voltnomad on our Discord for suggesting the concept.
🚀 Part of the ZERO Ecosystem
This stand is built as a companion for ZERO—a modular, 3D-printed, fully repairable power bank with swappable cells, shaped alongside its community. We've open-sourced this stand so the community can print, modify, and remix it freely.

🛠️ Features & Compatibility
- Print-in-Place Hinging: Folds right off the build plate.
- Universal fit: Holds smartphones, full-sized iPads (tested up to 12.9"), and lightweight laptops (like the Lenovo Yoga X1).
- Native fit: Seamlessly cradles the ZERO power bank.
- Hidden Pocket: Clean storage space on the back.
- Remix-friendly: Easily rescaled in your slicer for deeper pockets or wider devices.
🖨️ Print Settings & Instructions
- Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS/ASA (ABS works brilliantly for a rigid, matte finish!)
- Layer Height: 0.2 mm (Crucial for clean hinge clearance)
- Infill: 15% - 20% (Gyroid or Grid)
- Supports: None! Ensure you print it in its default flat orientation.
Hinge Tip: Ensure your first layer is properly calibrated to prevent "elephant's foot" (first-layer squish) which can fuse the moving hinges. Once printed, a gentle, firm flex will snap the hinges free into their standing lock position.
