Description
Heavy-Duty Replacement Clip for Fan Wire Grill
My fan's original grill clips broke, so I designed this robust, snap-fit replacement system to keep the wire mesh securely locked together. It fixed my fan perfectly and eliminated all loose vibrations!
It fits standard wire-frame fans (specifically tested on a 140 cm circumference CAT Twist fan). If you have a similar broken fan grill, I hope this solution works as great for you as it did for me!
Recommended Print Settings:
- Orientation: Print the clip lying on its side as it is. This aligns the layer lines with the mechanical stress of the snap, preventing the part from splitting during installation.
- Wall Loops: Set to 4 or 5 walls to ensure the clip is almost solid, providing maximum spring-tension and structural strength.
- Material: PETG or ASA are highly recommended for flexibility and long-term durability against motor heat and continuous vibrations. (Avoid PLA if the fan operates in very hot environments).
