Bill of Materials
- Shadow Box Frame x 1: 21.5 × 21.5 cm inner dimensions (tested with TEDi shadow box frame). Any frame with the same internal dimensions should fit.
- 3M Double-Sided Tape x 4: Recommended for attaching the road to the frame backing.
Description
Capture the moment victory is decided with this Finish Line Display Frame for your 1:64 diecast collection.
Designed to fit 21.5 × 21.5 cm shadow box frames (tested with TEDi frames, but any frame with the same internal dimensions should work), this display recreates the final moments of a race—one car takes the win while the other finishes just behind.
The road uses single-wheel grapplers that securely hold each car by one wheel, creating a clean floating appearance while keeping the mounting hardware discreet.
🚗 Compatibility
Included road versions support wheelbases from 4.0–5.2 cm.
Each version has approximately ±2 mm tolerance:
• 4.2 cm → fits 4.0–4.4 cm
• 4.4 cm → fits 4.2–4.6 cm
• 4.8 cm → fits 4.6–5.0 cm
• 5.0 cm → fits 4.8–5.2 cm
Compatible with most Hot Wheels vehicles.
Other 1:64 brands such as Majorette, Matchbox and Tomica may also fit depending on wheelbase.
🧱 Printing
Recommended material: PETG
PETG provides the flexibility needed for the grapplers.
PLA is not recommended because it can become brittle over time.
For a realistic asphalt texture, print the road face-down on a textured PEI build plate.
🔩 Grapplers
Grapplers are provided as a separate download.
Each file contains four grapplers and can easily be duplicated in your slicer if needed.
⚠ Grapplers grip the wheel firmly and may leave minor marks on softer wheels.
Installation
Mounting
• Center the wheel over the grappler.
• Press down until it clicks into place.
Removing
• Hold the vehicle by the body.
• Gently rock it until it releases.
Avoid pulling directly on the wheels.

The road can be attached using:
• 3M double-sided adhesive pads (recommended)
• Small amounts of super glue
