60-liter Oil Drum (Bung Drum) 1:14.5

This detailed 60-liter bung drum in 1:14.5 scale was developed to fit Bruder vehicles as well as many other RC construction, agricultural, and logistics models.

The model is based on a classic steel bung drum with large and small bungs and is ideal for workshops, construction sites, warehouses, or agricultural dioramas.

Like many of my models, this barrel was intentionally designed for assembly without glue.

Print Profiles

The download includes three print profiles:

• Both bungs closed (Standard)  
• Large bung open, small bung closed  
• Large and small bungs open  

This allows everyone to choose the variant that best suits their intended application or diorama.

For variants with an open large bung, a matching bung lid is also included.

Assembly

The barrel consists of three individual parts:

• Barrel body  
• Bottom  
• Lid  

For assembly, the bottom and lid are placed at a slight angle and then pressed evenly into the barrel body with the thumbs until they are fully engaged.

All plug connections were designed so that the model can generally be assembled without glue.

Since each filament and printer has slightly different tolerances, the fit may vary. This means that the parts may fit a little tighter or a little looser depending on the material.

Should the fit of your print be a bit too loose, one to two small drops of superglue are sufficient to permanently secure the connection. However, the model was deliberately developed for assembly without glue.

This model is part of my 1:14.5 Logistics Series. The goal of this series is to gradually develop a realistic and mutually compatible logistics and workshop system for Bruder and RC models.
