Filament Dry Box

This is a simple Filamanent Dry Box that sits ontop of your P1S, P1P or X1C. It holds a standard 1kg spool of filament and uses a few off the shelf components:

Also uploaded in another post are silica gel boxes that fit in the corners that keep the box from 10%-30% humidity depeneding on the enviornment.

The box sits horizontally and has the filament pulled through a hole in the back of the box that uses a small piece of spare PTFE tubing that fits directly into the hole with just a pressure fit. Also the box has 4 large viewing windows so you can moniter the movement of the filament spool as well as the level of the spool. The Box uses a skateboard bearing press fit in the bottom of the box to allow for very smooth easy moving of the filament spool. The box also has a humidity sensor in the top lid to monitor your filaments exposure to humidity.
