Description

The base model is a size 10 and I went through and did test prints to get as close as I could to general ring sizes to make things easier for folks to print. You may need to adjust as you see fit for shrinkage and other things but as it stands, it is close enough for a base!

These types of rings are used for all manner of finger issues but is generally seen for hypermobility, EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome), trigger finger, swan neck, etc. I have personally done them in resin, PLA, and PETG. You can generally fir two of these per finger.

My kid went to the doctor for her trigger finger and they said to try one of these splints, but they didn't have any on hand and said I was better off ordering online. Figured I would give this a try especially because she is little and I had no idea which size to order. I made these in incremental sizes moving up - starting at ring size one, and once we found her fit, these have worked out great. I even made one for myself to wear to show her that they are cool and make her like them more. Thank you for including the size chart! It helped speed things up by giving me a solid point on which to start from. Had to use the one from the pictures since the description doesn't go down that low.

Thanks for this! When I crochet, the tips of my fingers hyperextend and hurt, so this will help a lot! Definitely took a little trial and error to figure out the right sizes for me, because my hypermobility issues are mostly on the first (tiniest) joints, and hard to guess. I have long, small fingers, so I ended up needing to size the pinky one down all the way to Size 0 in order to get the right fit! The largest one was my thumb joint at size 6.25. Also, I discovered that my right hand sizes are .25 bigger than the left hand sizes, so hopefully that info will help someone else here find the correct sizes for themselves, too.

Thank you! I have issues more with my first knuckles too and was hoping someone had a good starting point for sizing.

is this for the hyper mobility with pain or just in general if it affects your daily life cause I was born with it and can bend the tips of my finger and I also have a hypermobile thumb and I found it out on my school computer cause if I bend the tip of my fingers to long they get stuck like it for a few seconds then it starts hurting and i start to get cramps in my fingers allot I’m 11 and sometimes my fingers start to randomly hurt like random pulsing

well, even if you CAN overextend, its usually not great to, and can lead to pain, and stuff like this helps keep you within proper working levels haha I'd 100% talk to your doctor about it!

Works well to control hypermobility. Smaller sizes are more difficult to print (still works though!)

Brilliant! No sharp edges, sizes are the same as the original oval8.
