Description

This is a functional 3d printed mouthpiece for French horn. It's a great use for situations you need a mouthpiece in public or other situations you don't want to use your expensive original mouthpiece.

It has a bit dull sound but in combination with the instrument it works good.

When printing the part, that is normally in the frenchhorn on the print plate, the print is relativly tricky, because the bottom surface is very tiny that it could stick on the print plate. Make sure to add a brim or stabilize it with tree supports or print it slower. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. For this case I added a profile, that combines all of that and that prints two mouthpieces at ones. So they stabilize each other and you have 2 mouthpieces :)

I just found out that it is possible to achieve results compared like a real mouthpiece! If you print it with ABS filament it is possible to get smooth results like metal. I used this YouTube video below:

This Trick Makes ASA & ABS 3D Prints Look Factory Made 😲No sanding. No filler.
