Description

Hello Everybody!

Recently, the Lenscap of my 13-55 Nikkor Lens broke. So I decided to reverse-engineer it and print it on my own.

I printed it with PLA, but I guess it would be better if you print it with ASA, ABS or PETG.

Tolerances are pretty tight on some parts, my P1S managed it really well, but you may have to sand some things down by a bit.

Instructions:

After you printed everything, you have to put the little grips into the spring mechanism:

This can be really tough but after a few tries they should snap in and stay in place.

Afterwards, you put the spring mechanism into the main body:

The pin right in the middle should ensure that you have the correct orientation.

Next, put the lid on top and align the mechanism.

!Be careful not to use a lot of force, the pins on the lid break quite easily!

You have to press the springs a little bit outwards to put the lid on.

All thats left to do is turn the lid clockwise.

If the prints have good quality & you aligned everything right you should be able to turn it quite easy.

Have fun with it!
