Description

I have been searching for the perfect travel storage for cross stitching that I could print because I could never find a commercial box that holds the small projects I work on, small enough to fit in a backpack, and also closes without the need of M3 screws. I was working on designing one from scratch and was pretty close, but it just didn't feel right.

I was scrolling through MakerWorld and finally found this screw box that closed by itself, had a slot for the lid to sit on the underside, and realized I could just remove some of the dividers. I modified the 40mm version of the box and did nothing to the lid. I'm just reuploading the lid model so the model is a complete print.

I made two versions. The first one (Type A) was just a little too small for holding the projects. It did it okay, but I was missing out on a couple tools, etc because I couldn't make them fit. The second model (Type B) holds all my scissors and other tools fine, lets me store the patterns and everything else just the way I want them.

To compliment the storage box, I took a bobbin I found on Printables and cut it down to fit in the small compartments in the storage box.

Included in this model are the Type A and Type B versions of the craft boxes for the Bambu printers with 256mm build plates and then the same but for the A1 Mini.

Photos depict the actual box and bobbins with my current (at the time of posting) project, tools, etc. Boxes were both printed in Printbed Blue on my P1P and the bobbins were printed in Printbed French Vanilla on my A1 Mini.
