Filament Transmission Distance Meter for Hueforge by XtronchO

********FREE PROJECT in BETA phase********


This system allows for the instantaneous acquisition of your filaments' TD (Transmission Distance) values (approximate) for input into your Hueforge program, thereby enhancing print quality (minimum value 0.8-1). The TCS3472 color sensor is included optionally, as it is not yet functional within the code. This sensor will also display the filament's color code on the screen.

 

*******IMPORTANT: The filament insertion component should be black to prevent light leakage********

 

Required Materials:

- 1 Arduino UNO or similar
- 1 TSL2561
- 1 TCS3472 (optional)
- 2 2835 5v 6500k LEDs (100 OHM RESISTOR)

- 1 2x16 I2C LCD model 1602C (LCD cutout dimensions: 72x27 mm)
- 4 M3x4.2x4 nuts, 2 heat-set
- 4 M3x6 screws
- 78.2 g Black PLA
- 2.4 g White PLA

*The enclosure utilizes a press-fit locking mechanism instead of screws. Do not close it until functionality is confirmed, as reopening will be difficult*

***PRINT PROFILE:*** Use a 0.1 mm layer height for the interior component (bed 2) only. Other components (bed 1) may utilize a 0.2 mm layer height.
