Description

Description:

Imagine the frustration when a Catan game is disrupted when the default frame lets a piece slide out.

Happened to me many times when I was teaching my kids to play the game.

Also we could not sit on a carpet floor to play as the board is too filmsy.

So I designed a simple six piece Catan frame that can be used anywhere in the house and keeps the tiles secure

Features:

Replacement frame for Settlers of Catan board game

Provides a stable tray to hold the tiles in place during play

Enables play on softer surfaces which otherwise is impossible

Frame sits perfectly flush with the tiles, so edge roads and settlements are not tilted

Provides precision cutouts for putting the port tiles in, so they also dont move

Assembly and disassembly is quick and easy

Printing:

Two different frame pieces that are to be printed three times each to form the full board

CatanFrameA has one slot for a port, while CatanFrameB has two slots

Assemble by alternating the frame pieces

PLA with 0.2mm layer works well

Ensure your plate is level as the parts can have issues if the plate is way off.

Recommend a pretty blue color to match the island theme

Update:

Based on feedback , added a thicker version
