Description

eSun actually seem to do several sizes of cardboard spool varying from diameters of about 201.5-203.5mm depending on the material (PLA/ABS/TPU etc). I got fed up with printing different sizes so redid it in TPU and also added a lip on the inside. As the TPU is easily stretchable over that range of diameters the lip fits more snuggly. I have included the rim plugs but in general they wont be needed as the rim when stretched will be tight enough. I suggest measuring the eSun spool diameter precisely and aslo the thickness and then adjust the model using Bambu Studio to more accurately fit the spool. Note: If you stretch the rim too tight, then it won't sit flat on the spool edge - and that could cause problems in the AMS.

Print the plugs in PLA if you need them and the rim in TPU. The TPU profile provided is for eSun TPU-95A ( https://amzn.eu/d/ifrOdIq ). Use a softer TPU so it will stretch. There are no supports for the rim and printing is from outside to inside. There will be some minor stringing but they can just be cut off! On the chance that eSun start making their cardboard reels thicker/thinner, it should simply be required to increase/lower the Z height to fit.
