Description

A cat ball you fill with different things: filament poop, this makes a fun noise and makes it roll funny. a tissue sprayed with catnip. A bell.

You can mix and match the different patterns. There are two new deigns added. I have also made the tread stronger.

I have one cat that get's bored with all his toys. This means he ends up stealing things like zip-ties, velcro ties, and my wife's hair ties. I noticed all the objects he steals are black in color. This gave me an idea. I made white cartoonish eyes with 4mm posts, then glued them thru the holes in the ball. I then attached his favorite brand of zip ties. The goal was to make it look like a "Soot Sprite" from Studio Ghibli movies, but I'm sure he thinks its a giant bug trying to steal his stash of zip ties, and that's really all that matters. I used eSun PLA+ and it stands out real well against the concrete basement floor, but the model itself is strong enough for me to throw it and bounce. The cat loves to pick it up by the zip ties, haul it up to the table, then drop it and chase it as it bounces around. It has withstood all the destructive male kitten energy he can muster.

It’s a really good model and brilliant idea. But I have to switch to use automatic tree support to ensure the print quality. I will upload my print profile soon. The paw version’s support is hard to remove, but round hole version is easier. You can consider adjust the paw’s direction to reduce the overhang area (see the first picture, even with support the surface is still not ideal), which can help reduce the need of support.
