3D printing instructions: Auction Hammer, Gavel including Resonance Block
Introduction: These instructions describe the 3D printing of an auction hammer, which can also be used as a gavel and resonance block. It is ideal for role-playing games, auctions, at the podium, or as a fish stunner for small fish.
Materials and print settings:
- Use PLA or another suitable filament. For additional stability, a carbon fiber filament is recommended.
- A 0.4mm nozzle is recommended.
- Use variable layer heights to achieve smooth curves.
Printing the Auction Hammer:
File preparation:
- The hammer is split in half to ensure better stability during printing.
- The resonance block can be printed in one piece.
Print settings:
- Adjust the print speed and temperature according to the filament used.
- Use support structures if necessary to support overhangs.
Printing the Hammer:
- Print both halves of the hammer.
- Print the resonance block in one piece.
Post-processing:
Assembly of the Hammer:
- Glue the two halves of the hammer together with super glue. Ensure that the parts are precisely aligned.
- Allow the glue to dry completely before using the hammer.
Finishing:
- Sand any rough edges or uneven surfaces to achieve a smooth finish.
- Optional: Paint the hammer and resonance block for a professional finish.
Usage:
- Auctions and Role-Playing: Ideal for use in auctions or role-playing games.
- Podium: Can be used as a symbol of authority.
- Fish Stunner: Suitable for small fish due to its robust construction.
Care and maintenance:
- Keep the hammer and resonance block clean and dry.
- Avoid excessive force to prevent damage.
- Repaint or repair as needed.
Summary: The 3D printed auction hammer with resonance block is versatile and easy to make. By using super glue to join the hammer halves, high stability is achieved. For maximum robustness, a carbon fiber filament is ideal.
