Description

Hello! This is my attempt at recreating my favorite Pokémon: Falinks. Falinks was introduced in the generation 8 sword and shield games and is essentially just 6 little sphere dudes in armor. The pokédex entry for Pokémon sword says “Five of them are troopers, and one is the brass. The brass’s orders are absolute.” While I'm not sure if it is confirmed, I believe the inspiration for Falinks was the ancient phalanx formation used in the archaic and classical periods in Greece, where a legion of men wielding long spears or polearms along with shields would be packed very closely together (about half a meter apart from each other) with their long spears pointed out and their shields covering them from all angles. This design choice can be seen through the closely related names, the horns, the design of their “armor” and their shields. This was made after about 10 hours of my bashing my head into a wall trying to get blender to work properly (and still failing right to the very end) so the geometry is very jank, but it prints properly and can be colored so it's good enough for me. The model can stand on its own but can also topple over pretty easily (thankfully he has a tail to catch him!). The tree's used in the display pictures were my design and can be found on my homepage as “Plum Blossom Bonsai Tree”. If you make any cool color combos for this model please leave a comment with a picture so I can see! Happy Printing!
