How It's Made

Build Plate Organization Tags

With the many new patterned & prismatic build plates out there, it’s easy to unintentionally amass a large collection. Even though there are a slew of build plate holders & stands on MakerWorld, most designs prioritize space-efficiency over ease-of-use, making it a challenge to find the plate you want. This problem is compounded by the fact that many of the newer plates have different patterns on each side.

Rather than continue to hunt through your plate collection like a madman, now you can have both space-efficiency + ease-of-use by using these customizable build plate tags! Simply click the customize button toward the top of this page to get started.

Printing tip: These print well with the text side facing up, though you will need to enable supports for the clip. However, the supports pull out easily when you pull/wiggle the brim.

Usage

These tags are meant to work with, but not replace, your existing build plate holder (such as this awesome one). Additionally, they are to be removed when using the plate – their purpose is purely organizational.

Other tags/labels exist with QR codes that some Bambu printers automatically recognize. Those types of tags are meant to remain attached during printing, but they do not help to organize a large collection of dual-sided plates in a stand. Both types of tags can be used together.
