Description

Wings for Dummy 13

Wings for Dummy 13! The huge pairs of wings are designed to be attached to the back of dummy 13 using the standard ball joint. So the wings can be rotated to a degree.

However, because of its size and weight, you'll need dummy with rigid joints to withstand the weight. I printed mine in PLA so the joints became loose quite quickly, so I remixed a display stand that can be attach to the wings for stablity.

The wings are amazing!!! I slightly increased the hole for better fastening of the wings made of PLA filament by 0.3 mm. The clasp no longer breaks.

printed perfectly without any flaws, putting it together was a bit difficult but I used a lighter to soften the plastic and then it worked just fine. I glued the wings in place because they started hanging down more and more due to their own weight

brilliant model, however the clips have a tendency to... snap. I scaled it up by 1% and it popped in just fine!

Printed in tri-color silk PLA and it looks amazing but I should have make the joint section out of normal PLA because the ball-joint snapped. This is not the fault of the model but the material I chose.

I had the same problem with normal pla just have to dip the female joint in boiling water for half a second

Left wing clip consistently snaps and breaks

try a softer plastic like PETG, abs might be too soft and might wear out on grip too soon.

imma try printing in petg next. I’ve done abs and pla. both snapped but i might just glue them. my biggest issue is the mount for the wings doesn’t stay in the body. and sticks out too far imo
