November 28, 2024 Update

For PETG printing, I highly recommend employing the 3MF file I uploaded today

Slightly widening the gaps mitigates sluggish articulation and print adhesion issues encountered with high-viscosity materials like PETG and inadequately dried PLA

November 28, 2024 Update

If you are planning to print with PETG, I recommend using the 3MF file that I uploaded today !!!

Slightly increased the gap, which resolved issues such as poor module movement and print adhesion that occurred during printing with high-viscosity materials (like PETG) and incompletely dried PLA.

V2.1—A Bookend Integrating Chinese Architectural Aesthetics

Original Description:

No complex assembly needed! Articulated modules are seamlessly integrated; print and deploy!

Inspired by LIHIT LAB's award-winning A-3575 Firm Book End, this design incorporates classical European architectural elements (a Chinese architectural version is in development; stay tuned)

The ingenious design ensures books remain upright; removing a book from the middle causes only the corresponding module to descend, preventing others from toppling.

However, the original's aesthetic was somewhat understated, and the price point rather exorbitant, prompting me to create this enhanced version, refining both form and function.

Important Notes:

1. Only two components require printing, which are then simply joined. A discreet latch mechanism is integrated; a satisfying "click" confirms proper assembly.

2. Slots are incorporated on the bookshelf's sides, facilitating the connection of multiple units.

3. Anti-slip pad recesses are integrated into the base. I utilize 22mm*12mm*1mm square anti-slip pads; a purchase link is provided for reference: https://m.tb.cn/h.gfPUZwgT9sZHbZI?tk=XQAuWC7J9I8
