Here are some ear savers that have a locking hole on one side and easy-release holes on the other side, with plenty of tabs for easy adjustment. It can also be cut in 1/3 or 2/3 lengths.
I named them Luxo Ear Savers just to give them a name and because the tabs look like little Luxo Jr. Pixar lamps.
