Description

IKEA wardrobe clothes rod mod for sliding door - keep sleves away and have mor space!

No modification needed, no drilling required!

In my IKEA closet, the sleeves of the shirts always got caught in the sliding door. The problem is that the clothes rod does not hang far enough inside the closet… 🤔

That's why I designed an adapter that positions the clothes rod 6 cm higher and 4 cm further into the wardrobe. This also gives you a little more space under the shirts. The sleeves are no longer in the way of the sliding doors and they are easier to open and close. 😁👌

I have carefully designed the adapters so that the shear forces are absorbed properly. No modifications need to be made to the wardrobe. No drilling required, simply replace the existing brackets with the newly printed ones. The pins hold the adapter in place and prevent it from rotating away.

The holders are very stable, I printed them in PETG and the clothes rod is fully loaded to the maximum.

I have uploaded the file so that you can edit it yourself.
