Printed in PETG with high bed/chamber temp and plenty of glue but came out smooth. Doesn't hold as much as the original, but fits every filament roll I've tried with ease and will “slot in” to many cardboard rolls like Polymaker and Elegoo. I usually preheat the bed to 100¢ for at least 10 mins before printing to get really strong layer adhesion from the high chamber temperature. It also rolls smoothly and has slightly better temperature resistance than the og PLA version.

I got some Elegoo filament and broke one of the containers off inside; it was such a tight fit. I decided to add a smaller version scaled down by 5% diametrically with the same length. I also increased the number of walls as putting high force was bending the relatively thin ones. I used ASA to print these ones as they are going in my AMS and need to be able to withstand heat while sitting on top of the printer at high chamber temperatures.&nbsp;

Printing required using some of Bambu's liquid glue on my textured PEI build plate. Profile for a PETG version so that the container can be used drying materials like PLA without experiencing softening. Tested in Sunlu Filadryer S4 at 60 deg C.

Printing required using some of Bambu's liquid glue on my textured PEI build plate. Profile for a polycarbonate version so that the container can be used inside a PC roll when drying without experiencing softening. Tested in Sunlu Filadryer S4 at 70 deg C.

Compact silica box

This is a remix of a random silica container I found here. I redid the sizing so the diameter fits most 1kg filament spools, and the length should fit just inside the roll so as not to interfere with the other rolls. Whenever the filament spool is not mounted using the hole in the center (e.g., while in a dry box/AMS/dehumidifying chamber/long-term storage), this container can serve as an extra source of desiccant.
