Description
My previous power bank project using power tool batteries felt incomplete. For outdoor use, less is always more; ideally, items should be interchangeable. This project addresses that.
Compatible with power banks, it incorporates a self-rotating fan, an outdoor lamp, and utilizes two ¼-20 interfaces and a cold shoe mount, allowing for further expansion, such as a phone holder (for charging and viewing videos). The lamp's angle is adjustable, and by inverting it and using a tripod with a ¼-20 interface (many outdoor fans include one), the lamp can be mounted for stationary illumination. Ultimately, functionality depends on your existing equipment.
The battery adapter leverages parts from my previous power bank converter (Power Tool Battery Converter Power Bank (Dongcheng Battery) by 悠由 - MakerWorld), with modifications to integrate the lamp controller and tactile switch. Space was tight, but everything fit. The controller and switch are housed inside the handle to avoid wiring complexities, simplify assembly, and prevent accidental activation; single-handed operation remains unaffected. The switch is a KW11-3Z-1, secured with M3*8 self-tapping screws; the orange switch cap is salvaged from a spotlight.
The gimbal adapter utilizes the Gimbal Cold Shoe Adapter by 悠由 - MakerWorld.
