Description
This is a TRON Legacy LED sign that can be printed and assembled with minimal parts. This was inspired by the awesome method @regis used on his Star Wars sign, in which you get a bit of a neon tube effect.
Print Settings:
- 15% infil
- .2mm layer height
- No supports needed
Material PLA:
Printed parts involve 4 components:
- Face - This is the logo. For this print, I found white works best and then you will need to do a color change at roughly layer 10 if you want the top-filled layers to be colored. In my example, I used a Translucent blue Filament.
- Back - This is the backplate that the LED strip, the LED Controller, and the power switch attaches to. This is then screwed into the frame with M3 screws. Or you could just glue it.
- Frame + Inserts - This is the frame and inserts. The inserts are glued into the recesses of the Face. Print this face down.
Non Printed Parts needed:
- WS2812 LED Strip
- LED Controller
- On/Off Toggle Switch
- M3x8 Screws
- USB cord for power OR dedicated 5v power supply. For the USB just cut off the Micro USB connector and use the POS+ and NEG- wires.
