Airless Beach Volleyball

Airless Beachvolleyball in Mikasa Style

Printed in 50% scale with TPU 95% at 100% infill

as fidget toy/ anti-stress ball gift for a beach volleyball fanatic.

Normal Support within a 60mm circle below the centre of the ball was used.

It has a low “bounciness” to the ground

but it is excellend to throw it on walls if you are bored ;-)

It has quite good grip and hitting performance, maybe interesting for spike ball(?)

feel free to print the full size ball and report the characteristics

at 100% it has an outer diameter of 210mm (like the original) and a wall thickness of 5mm

The weight will exceed the specified weight even with lower infill, at least with tpu

Update

Tried to print it full scale, but it failed to extrude on the last 5cm, I don't know why :-(  

One Learning:

enlarge the support area, circa 150mm in diameter! Otherwise some overhangs look ugly
