Description

Introducing the latest addition to our collection of engaging and innovative games: Disc Launch Challenge. At Ozarkexpeditions, we pride ourselves on creating toys, games, and functional prints that bring people together, fostering friendly competition and endless enjoyment. Our mission is to provide high replay value with every game, ensuring that everyone in the family can participate and have a great time.

We have print profiles for various targets so you can choose the one that fits your style the best!

✨V1-1 Update: Based on your requests, we've updated the launcher print profile to have a larger pull so that it's stronger. We've also updated the profile so that it only changes the color once, reducing the amount of time and filament required. Cheers!

Perfect for solo play or friendly competitions with friends and family, Disc Launch Challenge is designed to be easy to assemble and play. Whether you're honing your precision alone or engaging in spirited contests, we think this game is sure to become a favorite. Stay tuned as we continue to expand our lineup of captivating and creative games, each designed to keep the fun and excitement going.

We've separated the print profiles if you would like to just print the launcher or the targets. Be sure to post photos of the final assembly and if you'd like to support us or get commercial licenses, check out our Patreon.

Game Play

Shooting discs at targets is timeless, so feel free to make up your own rules or follow ours. We typically play with a red team and a blue team, each with 6 discs, and the team with the most points wins. For an extra challenge, try playing best out of 3 rounds.

Cautionary Notes for Disc Launch Challenge

Use fresh, high-quality rubber bands and avoid old or brittle filament to ensure safe and effective play. Always aim towards the designated targets and never at people, animals, or fragile objects. Regularly inspect the launcher and discs for damage and replace any parts as needed.

Disc Launcher Assembly - A Visual Guide

Everything goes together like a snap, literally. The only think that you'll need besides filament is an assortment of rubber bands so you can find the best fit for your new launcher. The use of the Bambu Lab Smooth PEI plate will ensure there is less friction, and more fun gameplay.

Layout the 5-pieces need to assemble your disc launcher.
Take the middle spacer piece and snap it in the top of the launcher. Ensure the side profile matches the top. With a little force, it will fit nice and snug.
Fit the next spacer in on the other side.
Now snap the two halves together.
A tip is to snap the back together first, and then the front.
Slide in the launcher pull, ensuring that it is the correct orientation.
Next, fit on the rubber bands. Please do not use old or worn rubber bands for your safety. The rubber bands should not be overly stretched in the normal position. This ensures that you will have plenty of stretch for launching discs.
Now you have the launcher assembled. Simply drop in the printed discs and you'll be ready to play. Note, we have included a file for the base, if you would like a neat stand.

Penny Discs

If you find that you want discs with more weight, we've included a print profile with a disc that fits a US penny without the use of glue. It just snaps into place! If you would like to create a new print profile with a opening that fits your local currency, feel free to do so.

Feedback

As with any new game design, I would love to hear your feedback on how we can update the actual printed design to continue making it fun and engaging. Post your build photos, give us a download, and if you want to see more cool projects, give a boost! 🚀
