Description

A model in 3 parts that make up a fly & wasp trap. The entire model is designed to screw together and has been modelled with coarse threads with plenty of offset.

  • The base prints without supports and allows you to add in your bait (rotting fruit is good for fruit flies, smelly fish goo for flies that like protein .
  • The funnel will require supports and I find that printing it with the funnel spout upwards works best. This screws into the base (funnel pointing into the base) and allows flies to enter but makes it difficult for them to leave.
  • The top screws into the funnel and reduces the risk of rain getting in while the sides are open for the insects to still enter.

I printed the base and funnel with Bambu's PETG HF and the top in PLA basic with great results.
