Download the 3D Model of the Human Eye Anatomy at 3:1 Scale!
Dive into the fascinating structure of the human eye with our 3D model designed as a puzzle construction set! This model is composed of five easily printable parts, allowing for seamless assembly and an engaging educational experience.
Each part of the model can be individually customized and colored to your liking using a slicer, providing the opportunity to showcase your creativity. You can glue the parts together for a complete assembly, ensuring a solid and impressive final product.
For printing part number 5 (Cornea), we recommend using natural filament to capture the model's realistic look. Part number 2 (Retina) is perfect for adding your own creative touch after printing; consider enhancing it with wires or threads to represent the central retinal arteries and veins and their branches. I used acrylic paints to bring the model to life!
This 3D model not only serves as an effective educational tool but also makes for an exciting project to engage with anatomy.

Anatomy of the Human Eye
- Iris:
- The colored part of the eye that controls the size of the pupil.
- Regulates the amount of light entering the eye by adjusting the diameter of the pupil.
- Contains muscles that constrict or dilate in response to light levels.
- Ciliary Body:
- A ring of muscle tissue located behind the iris.
- Controls the shape of the lens for focusing on near and far objects (accommodation).
- Produces aqueous humor, the fluid that nourishes the eye and maintains intraocular pressure.
- Lens:
- Transparent, flexible structure located behind the iris and ciliary body.
- Focuses light onto the retina by changing shape (bending) for better vision at various distances.
- Helps with the accommodation process to maintain clear vision.
- Cornea:
- The clear, dome-shaped front surface of the eye.
- Provides most of the eye's optical power and helps focus light onto the retina.
- Acts as a barrier against dirt, germs, and other harmful materials.
- Retina:
- The innermost layer of the eye that contains photoreceptor cells (rods and cones).
- Converts light into electrical signals, which are then sent to the brain via the optic nerve.
- Plays a crucial role in vision by processing images and enabling color perception.
- Sclera:
- The white, outer layer of the eyeball, providing structure and protection.
- Maintains the shape of the eye and serves as an attachment for the eye muscles.
- Continuous with the cornea at the front of the eye.
Summary
The human eye is a complex organ composed of several key parts, including the iris, ciliary body, lens, cornea, retina, and sclera, each playing a vital role in vision and the overall function of the eye.
