Ultimate Tesla Sunglasses and Glasses Holder

We wanted a sunglass holder that would hold our prescription eyeglasses as well. Didnt find one that worked well.

So few prototypes later, I was able to design a minimalist sunglass clip for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. (Dont have access to a Model S/X to confirm)

Features

Nose side installation

Retains eyewear over bumpy roads

Very easy to remove and reinsert

Provides lateral support for larger lenses as well

Disappears if printed in the right color

Printing

0.16mm layer recommended to keep some nose geometry fidelity

15% infill is sufficient

PETG recommended for hot cars

Update

Some friends reported bigger gap in the headliner and glass, so I added some thickness, also increased the size of the nose hook, for better compatibility with larger sunglasses

UPDATE2:

After getting long term feedback from a ton of Tesla owners, I have made several updates

- Headliner insert portion has step geometry to completely eliminate slipping

- Better geometry of the insert to be compatible with all headliner gaps

- Small improvements in nose bridge geometry

- Change in angle of the holder, so it sits even more flush with the headliner

- PETG only, some of the PLA users found out how hot it gets under the glass
