Description
Made for “The Ultimate Enclosure A1 Mini / Prusa Mini” but adaptable to any enclosure
Features a 120mm fan!
--– Whats new! ---
The 2.0 Update is mainly about safety. This new filtration system features:
- 2/3mm gasket, in order to prevent air leakage (3mm is better)
- Stronger fan, to push more air
- Semplified maintenace design (with easyer filter axcess)
- Magnetic fan cover in order to swap the fan or the cover itself
--- Research ---
During these weeks i did a lot of research about printing fumes and filtration. I doscovered that the best way to get rid of them is using activated carbon pellets (with air recirculating trought it) combined with an hepa filter for extraction. I'm using a ‘nevermore duo v5 filter’ ( https://github.com/nevermore3d/Nevermore_Micro) combined with my design. That's why i decided to remove the old actived carbon sheet, wich is basically kinda a scam..
--- What you need to buy ---
- Fan (Suggested fans: Alveo3D ALHP2425-H8 or Alphacool Core 120mm 4000rpm)
- SC4300 hepa filter (110 x 125 x 20mm)
- n.8 Neodimium magnet 6mm diameter x 2mm
- n.8 M4 x 40mm screw
- n.8 M4 threaded inserts (4mm long, 6mm outer diameter)
- Gasket (2mm diameter)
--- Print instructions ---
Use at least 3 perimeters and 20% infill because you need rigidity
PLA is fine because the fan keeps it cool even with closed doors; but use PETG if you want to be extra safe
— Assembly ---
The way to assemble the system is to take each part in the first image, in the orientation they are in, and lay them on top of another. The letfmost part is the back, and the rightmost part is the front.
The glass should be in between the back-cover (in black in pic #1) and the filter, so that the back cover is the only part on the outside of the enclosure.
