Description

UPDATE - 21 June 2026:

  • V3 is has simpler components.
  • I think it looks better.
  • Added a GIF showing assembly process.
  • Forgive my dirty hands, I'm a mechanic.
  • I don't have a solution for mounted AMS Lite, as I use a different mount by JJTechPrints: https://makerworld.com/en/models/796462-ams-lite-rotating-stand-for-a1#profileId-735644.
  • Let me know if you have a problem and I'll try to help. Also, thank you to the community. You are great and full of creative ideas and amazing solutions!

I also made a chain for the Bambu A2L: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2953085-a2l-hotend-cable-chain#profileId-3309088

UPDATE - 22 September 2024:

  • NO SCREWS NEEDED! - New version snaps in place.
  • You need one XbaseA1, one XbaseA2, one XbaseB1, one XbaseB2, and 14 XchainA, and 15 XchainB.
  • Some A1 versions have a longer cable. If that's the case for you, print XchainEXT and add it after XbaseB1.
  • If you have already printed the old version just print XbaseA1, XbaseA2, XbaseB1, XbaseB2, and one XchainB.
  • Parts to accommodate a top-mounted AMS Lite are up! Just replace XbaseB1, one XchainA, and one Xchain B. (Pictured in green). Extender for longer cable also uploaded.

ORIGINAL:

Hotend cable management for the Bambu Lab A1.

The chain is designed to flex in only one direction to avoid sagging.

You WILL need one M3 10mm and two M3 6mm screws.

Print one BaseA, one BaseB, 14 ChainA, and 14 ChainB pieces.

Supports are needed.

If the chain is not long enough, @BentSpoon uploaded a remix of BaseB that will solve that problem. (Thanks Keoni).
