Description
This acorn-shaped multi-purpose fall decoration can be used as a lantern, tealight shader, container for small stuff, plant pot, or simply a decoration that will bring that nice warm and cozy fall mood into your home. It can be used with or without the cap.
Printing suggestions
- The cap: turn on fuzzy skin, use adaptive layer height and supports (you can use PETG for support interface for easier support removal and better finish)
- The shell: holes on the shell have overhangs that can be printed without supports but it needs to be printed slowly (I had the best print results with Orca slicer, it handles these overhangs very well)
Colors
I used Overture rock PLA for the cap and Azurefilm Off-white matte for the shell.
Dimensions
I've made STLs for small and large versions, but the objects can be scaled to your liking.
Small acorn dimensions: shell 56x56x47 mm, cap 61x61x36 mm
Large acorn dimensions: shell 84x84x70 mm, cap 91x91x53 mm
