Description

*Update, made a few minor changes to the design to make the switch a bit tighter when printing the entire part from PETG. Please try the PETG profile if printing it in PETG.

This is my take on the Festool arbor dust cover for the TS 55 FEQ and TS 55 REQ track saw. I wanted something that would fit well, have easy toolless removal and look good all at the same time. This fits the TS 55 FEQ and even though the radius of the opening is different on the TS 55 REQ, it fits that one just fine too. I cannot confirm if it fits any other models though, since these are the only ones I own.

If the tolerances on your saw are different than mine and the cover is too tight of a fit, let me know and I can make a slight adjustment and upload a model that is a bit smaller.

I would highly recommend printing at least the latch out of PETG because of the two prongs that attach it to the sliding button. PETG allows the prongs to flex during assembly without breaking. I did try a few out of PLA, and most of them worked ok, but I did break one of the PLA prongs during testing. The cover seems to work ok when printed with PLA, but most of my test prints have been with PETG. The sliding button however seems to be fine when printed in PLA. I've been using PLA + for mine.

Make sure you print all the models in the orientation that I have them in. The assembly guide is below and it's very easy to put together, but if you have the latch or sliding button facing the wrong way, it won't work.

I'd love to hear any feedback you might have that could improve this design!
