Bambu Lab swatches storage box / Bambu Lab Color Card Storage Box
Print Profile(1)

Description
I iterated on the concept of the hinge box model and arrived at this box, which is compatible with BambuLab swatches.
Thanks to the hinge structure on the side and the Z-direction clearance provided by this hinge, there will be no structural interference even if the lid and the swatches are very close in size.

First, the drawbacks:
This box does not have a handle for "easy" opening.
I did not want any protrusions on the outside of the box. The wall thickness of the box is also very thin, so recesses could not be made either.
My hands are relatively large, so I can pinch the sides of the box to open the lid.
If your hands are smaller, you might need a more interesting posture, using both thumbs to push the lid upwards.
Due to the short hinge, a fulcrum is formed at the pivot point, and if the lid is opened at a larger angle, the hinge may come off.
However, since the installation process is not complicated, it is easy to reposition even if it comes off.
When closing the box, it is easier to press down on both sides of the lid with your thumbs to close it properly and avoid the hinge coming off.
The swatches are arranged quite tightly, making them not particularly easy to take out.
There is no partitioning by swatch type: considering replaceability, I chose to solve this problem with a single sheet of paper.
like this:

Model Description:
I provided multiple lids: a lid without holes, a lid with a hole in the center, and a lid with a slightly offset hole.
I chose the last one.
The reason is as mentioned before: it is convenient to read when a label indicating the type of color card is attached.
Assembly:
For assembly instructions, please check here.
Suggestions:
Since the pivot part is slightly thin, it is recommended to print several hinges at once as spares to prevent damage during assembly.

I have discovered that when instructions are synchronized from the global site to the Chinese site, sometimes images or hyperlinks disappear. If you are interested in this and encounter a situation where images have disappeared, please check the global site.
