The sculpture in the center of Dongguan City Square is called "The Ties That Bind." Located on the south side of the large fountain and in the center of the North Plaza, stands a dazzling sculpture. Rising to a height of 21 meters, the sculpture is composed of rotating, dynamic ribbons and mesh, creating a space that is both vibrant and centripetal, emphasizing the sculpture's affability and centripetal force. This sculpture, named "The Ties That Bind", is composed of three spiraling sections, representing the close bond between the Party, government, and people. The long red ribbons and mesh combination create a dynamic and centripetal form, embodying a happy, optimistic, upward, and developmental symbolism.
