There are 2 short interference sections inside the bore to keep the handle tight, twist the tool back and forth a little to get thru them and the key will snap in place once fully inserted.Make sure the top of the handle is flat, or sand of any nubs or strings.Before snapping the end cap on, swipe a few molecules of lube from that big gob of grease on the end of your Z axis screw and apply it to the flat surfaces where the cap rides against the handle shaft.
