Pixel Layers - Galaga Ship

Create this multi-color pixel art without an AMS. Print each layer in a different color and assemble the layers.

I printed the bottom layer on the textured plate, the next two layers on the smooth plate and the top layer on the effects plate. The effects plate really added to this print.

I assembled one layer at a time, while the next layer was printing. When assembling the layers, line them up and push down evenly to get the holes over the pixels from the prior layer. Keep pushing down evenly a little at a time. I found it helpful to use one of my printed scrapers to push down between the pixels to get the layer all the way down.

I printed with the default “0.2mm Standard @BBL A1M” profile. You should be able to use other profiles, as desired. You may want to keep the default line width of 0.42mm as the lines between the pixel holes are twice this width.

I will include a test profile that contains a 4x4 Pixel Layers example that you can print in a single color to ensure everything assembles correctly when printed on your printer, with your settings.
