3. History: During World War II, this area was under German occupation, and in 1945, fierce battles took place around the lighthouse. It suffered significant damage but was restored after the war and reopened for use.
4. Visiting: Today, the Texel Lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can climb its 118 steps to learn about its history while exploring the surrounding area.
